Maine Street Cats has been one of the “Maine Coon Breeders” in the North Bay for about 13 years now. We have “Maine Coon kittens” on and off several times a year. We are a very small cattery with 2 studs and 5 queens. This is a hobby and not a business. We are and have always been a small home-based cattery. My goal is to provide the highest quality Maine Coons available for excellence, temperament, health, and appearance that meets the Maine Coon TICA standard.

My “Maine Coon kittens” are 100% healthy and well-socialized. I am proud to put my name and reputation behind my kittens. “My Maine Coons Kittens” live in the house with me and all babies are born and raised in my home, not in kennels. They are raised underfoot (literally) with other cats and a dog. We are a TICA  (The International Cat Association) member in good standing. Feel free to look around. If you see a kitten that you are interested in, please inquire by contacting us

Maine Street Cats is located in Santa Rosa, California. We are only 55 minutes north of San Francisco, An hour and a half from Sacramento, and a little less time from Vacaville and Fairfield. We are located a mere 2 hours from San Jose and a little over 4 hours to Fresno. The East Bay and South Bay are both right around one and a half hours as well.

Maine Coons are the largest breed of domestic cats. They are known as the “gentle giants” and possess above-average intelligence, making them relatively easy to train. They are known for being loyal to their family and cautious—but not mean—around strangers, but are independent and not clingy. They are generally not known for being a “lap cat” but their gentle disposition makes the breed relaxed around dogs, other cats, and children. They are playful throughout their lives, with males tending to be more clownish and females generally possessing more dignity, yet both are equally affectionate.

Many have a fascination with water and some theorize that this personality trait comes from their ancestors, who were aboard ships for much of their lives.
